Russia Part 2 - St Petersburg on Foot

Yesterday's bus trip to Catherine Palace took us passed the 'Heroic Defenders of Leningrad' but it was pouring rain so no photos of that very impressive monument. Todays walk took us towards Vosstaniya Square passed this WW11 monument. We are in the heart of St Petersburg CBD. Vosstaniya means 'uprising' as it was here that many demonstrations were held in 1917 during the Russian Revolution.
